Important: Please read these Website Legal Notices and Terms of Use (these “Notices and Terms”) carefully before accessing this website.
These Notices and Terms create a legal agreement between you (“You”) and Biotech Law Center, Inc. (“We”, “Us” “Our” or “Biotech Law Center”) that governs: (1) the information of Biotech Law Center (the “Information”) made available through this website; (2) the nature of the relationship between You and Biotech Law Center; (3) certain other matters of professional responsibility; (4) Biotech Law Center’s use of Your information gathered by it through this website; and (5) Your use of this website, related systems, and the Information (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing any portion of the Site, You are indicating that You have read and understood, and that You assent to be bound by, these Notices and Terms, which may be amended from time to time by Us pursuant to the terms herein. If You do not agree to these Notices and Terms, You are not permitted to access the Site.
1. No legal advice
The Information is made available for general informational purposes only, and is not intended to constitute specific legal advice or to be a substitute for advice from qualified counsel. Without limiting the foregoing, the Information may not reflect recent developments in the law, may not be complete, and may not be accurate in or applicable to Your jurisdiction. 2. No attorney-client relationship
Biotech Law Center has a policy of entering into attorney-client relationships with its clients only in accordance with certain procedures which include executing an engagement letter and addressing professional responsibility conflicts as required by the Bar Associations of the states in which Biotech Law Center provides legal services. You agree that Your access of the Site or receipt of the Information, or Your transmission of information in the Contact Us forms or in electronic mail to addresses on the Site, does not create an attorney-client relationship between You and Biotech Law Center.
3. Other matters of professional responsibility
3.1 No Advertising or Solicitation. The Site is not intended to be an advertisement or solicitation, but may be deemed an advertisement in certain jurisdictions.
3.2 Sensitive Communications. You agree that information You may provide to Us through the Join Us and Contact Us forms on the Site or in electronic mail sent by You to Biotech Law Center or its attorneys will not be treated as confidential or invoke an attorney-client privilege; provided, however, that if You are an existing client of Biotech Law Center and You send an electronic mail to Biotech Law Center pertaining to a matter in which Biotech Law Center then represents You, such electronic mail may be entitled to be treated as confidential or privileged. Notwithstanding the foregoing, You acknowledge that electronic mail and the Internet are generally insecure media of communication, and We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any electronic mail sent to or received by Us or any information submitted by You to Biotech Law Center through the Site.
3.3 Principal Office; Responsible Attorney. To the extent the requirements of the Bar Association in Your jurisdiction require such designation: Biotech Law Center’s principal office is at 1396 Muirlands Vista Way, La Jolla, CA 92037, and the responsible attorney for the Site is Lance Bridges. Mr. Bridges is admitted to practice law in California. Information about him is available through the California State Bar website and upon request by writing to contactus@biotechlawcenter.com.
3.4 No Warranty of Results. The Information may contain descriptions of matters in which Biotech Law Center represented its clients. The results of these matters were dependent on their specific circumstances, and are in no way intended to offer any type of guarantee or assurance of outcome. Information pertaining to Biotech Law Center clients may not reflect the opinions such clients.
4. Privacy
With respect to information submitted or collected on the Site, You accept Biotech Law Center’s privacy policy as set forth in this Section 4. This Section 4 does not pertain to, and Biotech Law Center is not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third party websites to which the Site hyperlinks. Certain areas of the Site may be subject to additional privacy-related provisions, links to which will be posted in those areas.
4.1 Activity Logging. When You use the Site, which may be hosted in part or its entirety by a third party, the Site may collect information indirectly and automatically (through, for example, the use of “cookies” or Your “IP address”) about Your activities. Biotech Law Center uses this activity information (the “Activity Information”) for internal purposes such as to administer or improve the Site and help Us understand how the Site is being used, including the demographics and “clickstreams” of the Site’s visitors. “Cookies” are small pieces of information stored on Your hard drive, not on the Site. You are always free to decline cookies if Your browser permits, but in that case, some portions of the Site may not operate properly. An “IP address” is a number that is automatically assigned to Your computer when You use the Internet.
4.2 Personally Identifiable Information. The Site is designed so that You may generally browse it without providing any Personally Identifiable Information (defined below). Certain areas of the Site, however, may require or allow the voluntarily submission of Personally Identifiable Information. Biotech Law Center uses Your Personally Identifiable Information for the purposes for which it was submitted by You to Us and for Us to send You information that may be of interest to You. Except as otherwise set forth in this Section 4, We do not share Your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties. “Personally Identifiable Information” means information that would allow someone to identify or contact You, such as Your name, physical or electronic mail address, and telephone number; provided, however, that Personally Identifiable Information does not include aggregated information that, by itself, does not permit the identification of individual persons and does not include the Activity Information.
4.3 Removal of Personally Identifiable Information. We will use reasonable efforts to remove Your Personally Identifiable Information from our then current Site at any time upon Your written request to admin@biotechlawcenter.com. Such removal of Personally Identifiable Information will not ensure the permanent removal of such Personally Identifiable Information from the Site. For example, such Personally Identifiable Information may remain in Our archival or backup copies of the Site.
4.4 Additional Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information. We may share Personally Identifiable Information with third parties, including affiliated firms and third parties performing services for or on behalf of Biotech Law Center. Such services may include communications, database, event management, hosting, mailing, and marketing services. Additionally, We cannot fully ensure that Your Personally Identifiable Information will not be disclosed to third parties. For example, We may be legally obligated to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may circumvent Our security measures to unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or an error may occur in the administration of the Site. In the unlikely event that We need to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, We may, and You authorize Us to, disclose any information about You to government officials as permitted by applicable law.
4.5 Miscellaneous Privacy Terms. We have implemented and follow appropriate technical measures to protect against the risks of unauthorized access to, erroneous disclosure of, and unlawful interception of Personally Identifiable Information. You should know, however, that We cannot fully eliminate such risks. We hope this Section 4 clarifies Our procedures regarding its collection, use and disclosure of Your information including Personally Identifiable Information. From time to time, We may modify this Section 4. Such modifications will be effective on the date that We post the modified statement to the Site. 5. General terms of use
5.1 Prohibited Uses. You will not use the Site in violation of any applicable law. Without limiting the foregoing, You will not use the Site in connection with (a) the infringement of intellectual property rights including Biotech Law Center’s rights in its marks and information made available through the Site; (b) the unauthorized transmission of unsolicited commercial electronic mail; (c) the transmission of defamatory materials; or (d) fraud. You will not violate, attempt to violate, or knowingly facilitate the violation of the security (including access control or authentication systems) or integrity of the Site.
5.2 Copyright in Information. The Site includes Information that is protected by United States and international copyright laws. All rights are reserved. Subject to the terms of these Notices and Terms, We grant to You a limited, nonexclusive, personal license to access, view, download and print the Information solely for noncommercial and informational purposes. You may not modify the Information in any way and You may not remove or obscure any copyright or permission notices provided on or in connection with the Information. We do not grant to You any rights in Our marks. You are free to hyperlink to any page in the publicly available pages of the Site; provided, however, that You agree to remove any such hyperlink upon Our written request.
5.3 Electronic Mail. Subject to Section 5.1, You may send electronic mail to those addresses made available on the Site for the purposes of requesting information regarding Biotech Law Center or legal or other services offered by Biotech Law Center, and inquiring about employment opportunities. You agree to cease sending electronic mail to any Biotech Law Center address upon Our request.
5.4 No Warranties. The Site is provided to you “as is.” Your access and use of the Site is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by the law and rules of professional responsibility in the applicable jurisdiction, We disclaim all conditions, representations and warranties, express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy of informational content, system integration, non-infringement of third party rights, quiet enjoyment, and uninterrupted or error free operation.
5.5 Disclaimer of Liability. To the extent permitted by the law and rules of professional responsibility in the applicable jurisdiction, We disclaim liability for any lost profits or income, lost business, or lost data, or for any consequential, indirect, exemplary, punitive, special, or incidental damages arising from or relating to the Site.
5.6 Third Party Information. We may hyperlink to or otherwise make third party information available on the Site. This is done solely for the purposes of convenience. We do not endorse or approve of any such third party information or such third parties.
5.7 Miscellaneous. You agree that any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Notices and Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of California without reference to conflict of laws principles that would require the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction, and You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California. In the event that You gain access to information not intended to be accessed by You, You agree that You will immediately notify Biotech Law Center and lawfully destroy all copies of such information in Your possession. California Privacy Notice
Effective Date: September 23, 2020
1. Introduction
This privacy notice (“Notice”) describes how Biotech Law Center, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our” or “Biotech Law Center“) collect, use and share personal information about California residents and their rights with respect to that information.
2. Scope
This Notice applies only to “personal information”, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”), that we collect as a “business” as defined in the CCPA, but does not apply to personal information excluded from the scope of the CCPA. This Notice does not apply to you if you are not a California resident or you are otherwise not entitled to a notice under Section 1798.100 of the CCPA (e.g., because we collect your personal information while interacting with you in your capacity as an employee, controlling owner, director, officer or contractor of an organization while providing or receiving products or services to or from, or performing due diligence on, that organization). In addition, this Notice does not apply to personal information covered by a different privacy notice that we give to California residents, such as the privacy notices we give to our California employees and job candidates. Sections 3-5 of this Notice describe our practices currently and during all periods preceding the effective date of this Notice in which we operated as a business.
3. Personal information we collect
3.1. Categories of personal information
The categories of personal information we collect include:
- General identifiers, such as your name, home or work address, telephone number, email address, job title and organizational affiliation, and government-issued identification.
- Online identifiers, such as your username or passwords for any of our websites, or the information we automatically collect through cookies and similar technologies used on our websites, as described in our Cookies Policy below. This may include your computer or mobile device’s operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, unique identifier, the website you visited before browsing to our website, and general location information such as city, state or geographic area.
- Financial information, such as the bank account or credit card information you provide in wiring instructions you share with us and any insurance policy numbers that you provide in connection with our services to you.
- Medical information, such as any information about your health, health care or health insurance that you provide in connection with our services to you, or any food allergy information you share with in connection with your attendance at catered events.
- Protected classification characteristics, such as any of the following information that you choose to provide to us or that we collect in connection with our services to you: age (40 years or older), race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, medical condition, physical or mental disability, sex (including gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, veteran or military status, genetic information (including familial genetic information).
- Commercial information, such as the billing details we use to bill you for our services, your billing and payment history, and any records of personal property that we collect in connection with our services to you and other information about your client files. We also collect information about your preferences regarding marketing communications and your participation in our events.
- Biometric information, such as any fingerprints, iris or retina scans, facial geometry scans, hand or palm scans or voice prints created for the purposes of establishing individual identity and that you choose to provide to us in connection with our services to you.
- Internet activity or electronic network activity information that we collect about your interaction with our websites, emails and other online content, including the pages you viewed, emails you opened, links you clicked, how long you spent on a page, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on, access times, and duration of access. We also collect information about your preferences for the marketing emails that we send.
- Audio, electronic, and visual information that we collect in connection with our services to you, such as video or audio recordings conversations with you made with your consent.
- Professional or employment-related information that we collect in connection with our services to you, such as your job title, employer information and work history.
- Education information from any school or educational records that we collect in connection with our services to you.
We may also collect other categories of personal information that you choose to share with us.
3.2. Sources of personal information
Except for your online identifiers and internet and network activity information, which are collected by third party sources, we may collect information from or about you in connection with our services to you, such as when we conduct investigations. We also collect contact details, information about your interaction with marketing communications and your participation in events from joint marketing partners and event sponsors when they share this information with us.
4. How we use personal information
We use the categories of personal information that we collect about you for the following business purposes:
- Client services. We use all of the categories of personal information described above (except to the extent related to marketing) to perform legal services to our clients (“client services”), administer their files and to bill for and collect payments for those services.
- Online services. If you use our websites, any software applications that we make available, our social media properties, and any online data rooms that we operate or any services provided through them (collectively, “online services”), we use your general identifiers, online identifiers, internet activity information (as described above in Section 3.1) and other information that you submit through the online services to improve the services we offer to you or to help us better market our services to similarly situated persons or entities.
- Hosting and events. If you register for our events, we use your general identifiers, online identifiers, food allergy information and commercial information (as described above in Section 3.1) to fulfill your registration requests, communicate with you about the event, and to host you at the events.
- Research and development. We may use your general identifiers, online identifiers, internet activity information and commercial information (as described above in Section 3.1) for research and development purposes, including to analyze and improve our client services, online services, events and our business. As part of these activities, we may create aggregated, de-identified or other anonymous data from personal information we collect. We make personal information into anonymous data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this anonymous data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes.
- Marketing. We may use your general identifiers, online identifiers, internet activity information and commercial information (as described above in Section 3.1) in connection with sending you marketing communications as permitted by law, including by mail and email. You may opt-out of marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in marketing emails, emailing us at admin@biotechlawcenter.com.
We may also use personal information for other purposes consistent with this Notice or that are explained to you at the time of collection of your personal information.
5. How we share personal information
We may disclose for business purposes all of the categories of personal information described above with the following categories of third parties:
- Affiliates. Our affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Notice or to operate shared infrastructure, systems and technology.
- Service providers. Companies that provide us with services that help us provide services or operate our business, such as IT and software services, mailing services, marketing services, event management services and cyber security services.
- Government authorities, law enforcement and others. Government authorities, law enforcement, courts, and others as described in the compliance and protection section above.
- Transaction participants. Parties to transactions and potential transactions for the sale, transfer or licensing of a portion or all of our business or assets, including your personal information, such as a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy or dissolution.
- Professional advisors. Our lawyers, accountants, bankers and other outside professional advisors in the course of the services they provide to us.
6. Your California privacy rights
6.1. Your CCPA rights
- Information. You can request the following information about how we have collected and used your personal information during the past 12 months:
- The categories of personal information that we have collected.
- The categories of sources from which we collected personal information.
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting and/or selling personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.
- The categories of personal information that we sold or disclosed for a business purpose.
- The categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold or disclosed for a business purpose.
- Access. You can request a copy of the personal information that we have collected about you during the past 12 months.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete the personal information that we have collected from you.
- Nondiscrimination. You are entitled to exercise the rights described above free from discriminatory treatment prohibited by the CCPA.
You may submit a request to exercise your information, access and deletion rights above by emailing admin@biotechlawcenter.com or using our online “Contact Us” form. We will need to verify your identity to process your requests and we reserve the right to confirm your California residency. Government identification may be required. If you wish to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, we will need to verify both your and your agent’s identities, which may require submission of government identification. Your agent must also provide valid power of attorney or other proof of authority acceptable to us in our sole discretion. We cannot process your request if you do not provide us with sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond to it. In certain cases, we may be permitted by law to deny your request.
6.2. Your right to information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes
As noted above, we may disclose personal information to our affiliates, which may use this information for all purposes described in this Notice. Because separate legal entities are considered “third parties” for purposes of California Civil Code Section 1798.83, and certain communications from our affiliates might be viewed as promoting their legal services, California residents who have provided us with their personal information during the creation of or during the course of an established legal services relationship that is primarily for personal, family, or household purposes may request information about our disclosures of certain categories of personal information to third parties (i.e., our affiliates) for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes by emailing their request to admin@biotechlawcenter.com. We will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties (i.e., our affiliates) for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. We reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the email address specified in this section.

7.1.Third parties
This Notice does not address, and we are not responsible for, the practices of any third parties, which have their own rules for how they collect and use your personal information.
7.2. Changes to this Notice
We reserve the right to change this Notice at any time. If we make any material changes to this Notice, we will post the revised version to the Privacy Policy section of our website and update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Notice. Except as otherwise indicated, any changes will become effective when we post the revised Notice on our website.

Cookies Policy
We use a variety of technologies to help us to deliver customized visitor experiences. In particular, we may use a technology called “cookies” to provide you with, for example, customised information from our website and its webpages (the “Site”). By agreeing to this Cookies Policy you consent to the use of cookies by us as described in this Cookies Policy.
A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. Cookies allow us to understand who has seen which pages, to determine how frequently particular pages are visited and to determine the most popular areas of our Site. Non personal information such as browser type, operating system and domain names may be collected during visitors’ use of the Site and this information may be used by us to measure the number of visitors to the Site.
What types of cookies do we use?

Session cookies – these are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you close the browser. This cookie is automatically put onto your browser by the server software, but it is not used by our website.

- a cookie to record the time of your first visit to website, the time of your most recent visit to the website and the time of your current visit;
- a cookie to record which page(s) you visit on the website;
- a cookie to record how long you stayed on the website; and
- a cookie to record how you located our website (i.e. Google search, keyword, link from other page etc.).
We only share the information obtained through the use of Google Analytics with Google. The cookies we use for these purposes do not track your Internet usage after leaving our website and do not store your personal information. They will not be used in connection with any other information to identify you in any way.

- Go to the heading “Manage Cookies” and click onto the option you prefer, either stopping cookies being installed, or notifying you of them;
